We are delighted to announce that the 2019 edition of the ICLGG (International conference on legume genetics and genomics) will be held in Dijon, France on the dates of May 13th to 17th, 2019.
ICLGG 2019 will be organised by Vitagora, the food innovation cluster, and the Agroecology joint research unit. Vitagora groups together 370 active members – companies, research and training organisations – to generate projects on producing tasty, healthy and sustainable food. Agroecology is a major research unit combining the forces of INRA, Agrosup Dijon, the University of Burgundy and the CNRS. More than 200 scientists carry out research in this unit seeking to understand biotic interactions, particularly those between plants, and between plants and microorganisms.
Major legume research, field visits and business meetings
The plenary sessions will present the latest advances in legume science. These will be completed by a program of field visits to present field trials and the high-throughput phenotyping facilities used by Dijon-based research teams.
ICLGG 2019 will also be an opportunity to build your network with one-to-one business meetings between scientists, agri-food businesses and service providers.
A warm Burgundy welcome
As well as being a major centre in legume research, Djion is one of France’s premier tourist destinations. With two UNESCO world heritage site categorisations (for its historic town centre and for the vineyards surrounding the town), Dijon is famous for its history, culture and gastronomy. The social program of the ICLGG 2019 will offer participants a number of opportunities to discover this region and its world-famous food and wine.
