Travel grants and poster prizes

Students submitting abstracts are eligible for travel grants and poster prizes!

With its mission to make ICLGG 2019 accessible to the whole scientific community, ICLGG 2019 is offering students the chance to apply for travel grants and poster prizes in relation to its call for abstracts.

Students submitting abstracts, you may be eligible for the following grants and prizes

5 travel grants of 300€ will be awarded to student abstract submissions

Deadline for travel grant applications is October 24th, 2018!

Student travel grants

Who can apply?

You may apply for an ICLGG 2019 travel grant if you meet the following conditions:

  • You are a student (undergraduate or PHD student) for the current academic year (with valid student identification for 2018-2019)

  • You have completed your registration for ICLGG 2019 and you have submitted an abstract

  • You are travelling from outside of France to take part in ICLGG 2019

How to apply

  1. Complete your registration for ICLGG 2019 (including payment) and submit your abstract using the online platform.
  2. Once your registration is complete, please send the following documents by email to travelgrant@iclgg2019.com by the application deadline of October 24th, 2018
    A cover letter explaining why you would benefit from a travel grant (in Engish, two pages max.)
    A scan of your current student ID card
    A copy of your abstract
    Please note that applications with incomplete documentation or without a completed registration will not be accepted.
  3. Successful applications will be informed by email from November 15th, 2018.
  4. Successful applicants will receive their travel grants in the days following the ICLGG.
    Please note that in order to receive their grants, successful applicants must
    be present at ICLGG and have displayed their poster or given a talk. Cancelled registrations, absence, or no poster displayed will result in the travel grant being revoked for the applicant.

Poster prizes

ICLGG 2019 is offering the best student posters a chance to win 3 cash prizes of 300€!

Who is eligible for the prizes?

All abstract submissions  from students (undergraduates and PHD students) accepted for a poster presentation by the ICLGG scientific committee will be considered for the poster prizes.

The prizes will be attributed to the student posters presenting the greatest scientific merit.

The prize winners will be selected by representatives of the ICLGG scientific committee.

How to apply?

If you are a student in the field of legume genetics and genomics, you are cordially invited to submit your abstract according to the instructions on this web page.

If your abstract is accepted for a poster presentation, you will automatically be considered for one of the prizes.
